Error message: AutoCAD Cannot Continue

Hi

I have the same problem that can be fixed by manually upgrading virtual memory.

The question is, I have a new Asus ROG 16MB RAM, I7 HQ, with a 1070 GTX NVIDIA

Why is this happening now? Could this be a virus eating up my memory?

I doesnt make sense, since it didn't happen before and frankly my computer is quite powerful

Thanks a lot rmk. I'll try this tomorrow and I'll tell you what happened.

What do you mean by resetting my setting? Wipe out my hard drive ?

Hi

AutoCAD works perfectly when I log in as a new user. Nevertheless when I reset my settings with my old user I doesn't fix the problem.

I've also installed the updates

Thanks a lot

Hi @Anonymous,

Since there is something corrupt in your user profile, I suggest backing up your data, and then removing the old profile from the workstation. Then, add it back on and see if AutoCAD then behaves properly.

Do you have any permission settings that differ from the two user accounts?

Hi john

I'm back at the office and ready to fix this.

By removing my profile from the workstation you mean removing my user account leaving only the other one I created recently? I can seem to be able to do that since the user account that's corrupted is the administrator one

Thanks again

Hi @Anonymous,

Can you change the new account to have Administrator level temporarily? Is this on a Windows network with Active Directory or a stand alone install?

Hi John

I have two laptops sharing some folders.

Both have the same administrator. Oddly enough, I don't have any problem using AutoCAD with the same administrator that seems corrupted on the other laptop
