Dynamic Input Symbol/Icon not visible on desktop for AutoDEskAutoCad2017

Beginer rookie here;

Walking thru the Hitchhikers guide, referencing post below but can not see the symbol shown at the link on my desktop - AutoDeskAutoCAD2017....am I blind or has the layout of the tool changed since the hitchikers guide was written and the post below from 2013?

No, you are not blind. Confused, maybe, but not blind To display the icon, click the '3-bars' icon on the task bar near your clock.

The 3-bars icon.

Then put a check mark next to  'Dynamic Input' in the list of options.

Put check mark at Dynamic Input.

I guess I thought it would be displayed as a default condition of the tool.
