Hello @arq.vr02.fernheim

This is a system related error, please try to use your Event Viewer. Try to re-create the event/pull up the error again & locate the event error, then search for it online this will help you determine the root cause.

It is a DXF2004, so that it is not easy to describe the problems exactly (Auswand / time),
but you should be able to open the file using the RECOVER command,
Execute ZOOM EXTENT, save as.

sorry, Weekend..

SORRY, my fail.

2020 crashed by OPEN AND BY RECOVER, sh*t.

2013 for example is able to recover the damaged file (there are multiple problems in these files, it's a Qgis export bug).

Well i found some information

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/civil-3d-forum/opening-dxf-created-in-qgis/m-p/8622315#M393364

These guys have a similar problem with dxf files, and also qguis relatet.

You where right it is a QGIS problem. If i make SAVE AS the Layer in QGIS, the Autcad will crash. If I export the layer it will work fine. But it will export the geometry as individual blocks. Thats sometimes ok, and sometimes not so ok.

Autocad 2013 works with the dxf files just fine, I could not find any version change in QGIS for the dxf file - it still 2004 even if I have the latest version of QGIS.

Thanks for your help. It shed some light on the Problem

Hi,

may I ask as you are working with QGIS ... do you work with AutoCAD or AutoCAD Map 3D?

The reason for that question is that AutoCAD Map 3D has GIS-functions, can connect to GIS formats like SHP, SQLite, MS-SQL Server, Oracle Spatial, ... so you might have a better workflow if you connect to these datasources using the Map3D FDO functionality than to use a (dead) data-exchange of DXF (dead because the DXF will not be updated when the GIS dataset has some modifications).

AutoCAD Map 3D is part of AutoCAD+Toolset, so maybe a good thing to use for that type of data.

NO, there are some error in QGis files, but 2013 are less sensitive as 2020.

Without recovering the file Acad2013 will also crash by Ctrl+A or some other functions (with other error messages).

I think to know what it.

Sorry, mine (2013 edition) just ask for read only. Thats all. It dosent crash.

Yes, if I fix the drawing it fixes a error, but 1 only.

That is correct, the 3DMAP from Autocad can open the shape file and work as a data exchanger.

But it also has trouble with the DXF file made by QGIS

Lucky QGis - User

Update your product and you will be able to recover the file.

https://manage.autodesk.com/home/

Today 2020.1 is the right version/Update.

Open file by RECOVER,

saveas dwg format,

close and

reopen the file- by recover if you like or just open

AUDIT,

-PURGE reg * no

-PURGE all * no

QSAVE

Now on missing Plotstyle data is created (since fileformat2004 needed)

ACAD_LAYOUT Data for Model and 2 Layouts

and ...<break>, I found enough and the (for me) important informations, thats enough.

Acad missing some data what required for 2004 and more also for 2000 (and later).

Ist QGis nicht auch deutsch? Dann könnte ich durchaus noch versuchen 2,3 Hinweise zu geben,

aber da es in den letzten 20Jahren nicht geändert wurde...

Your 2013 can detect and solve more problems, depending on how to do, the workflow order and file-format,
but i wonder if your 2013 will not crash by my as sample stated CTRL+A.
Would you please test it a second time? Just open the file in 2013 (or in 2020.1) and press CTRL+A for 'selecta all': No crash?

>"that solves the problem. Thanks a lot."
2020.1 is just less sensitive for some data problems than 2020, but the source problem (corrupt/missing data) still present - in the QGis dxf file.

I am glad to have helped and if the problem is sent to the manufacturer, the better.

2013 CRTL+A  = no crash befor or after audit run.

2020.1 CRTL+A = crash befor and after audit run. - but, you can save the file as .dwg make the CRTL+A, and save back as .dxf
