DWG Trueview installation

Hi guys,

We have an issue installing your product on one of our 64-bit desktop machines.  Here are the notes from the technician:

 Received call from Jason
- Jason stated issue
- Connected to computer
- Tried installing as admin
- Extracts ok then starts initializing
- Crashes during intializing
- Tried again by shift-Right clicking and use different user
- Used leapadmins credentials
- Same issue
- Logged out and in as Leapadmin
- Tried again
- Same issue
- Tried moving the extracted files to C:\temp
- Same issue
- Copied dmp file to leap computer, opened into dmp viewer, shows nothing
- Opened xml file
- Could only find error that stated "error accessing UPI repository in the 32-bits registry"
- Searched issue on autodesk forums
- Fixes have all been wiping the computer and rebuilding
- Tried logging in as leaplocal same issue

- Multiple reboots occurred during the above testing
- Sent Jason an email

We should not have to reformat the entire machine in order to install a piece of software, so I was wondering if we could please get some help with installing this software for a mutual client.

1. you are in the wrong forum. DTV forum is here http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/dwg-trueview/bd-p/109
2. What is the Windows OS? 32bit or 64bit?
3. What version of DWGTRUEVIEW are they trying to install?
4. Are they logged in as full Windows admin on the PC and installing from a download file, or are they trying to install while downloading?

Hi Pendean, thank you for your response!

Answers to your questions:

1. Oh, thank you.  I will start a thread there also.  Since you asked for more information, here are your other answers:
2. Windows 7 64-bit.
3. I just tried then to verify my staff member's notes above.  2016 has the issue.   2014 has the same issue.  2012 installs fine.
4. As the notes above suggest, they are logged in as an administration account (domain admin, in fact).  The installation files are all downloaded to the machine and extracted to the C:\Autodesk folder.  I am running every installation executable as administrator (as the notes above attest, it makes no difference if I run as admin from the current user login, or log in to windows using the domain admin account).

Again, thank you for your time.

Find and share the installation log files from all failed attempts with your post in the correct forum so others can see the details of the failed attempts. Thanks.
