DWFATTACH doesnt work

I am trying to attach a 3d DWF to an autocad file and I get an error everytime I try to attach it . I am new to the DWFATTACH command so I am sure its something I have done but I do not know what.

Hi,

Audit,Recover and Purge (Reg) commands will help to clean your file.and make sure that your dwf file format match your AutoCAD version.

I do not think that is it because I am trying to attach it into a brand new drawing. I think it is something in the dwf. Will autocad not let you attach a 3D plant layout that is a dwf?

what i mean in my first post is to do it for the origin CAD file and before preparing dwf file.

Oh I do not have access to that file since it is from an outside vendor and it is an Inventor file natively.

then you have to contact them and describe your problem.or try to use the most new AutoCAD version 2018 if available (as a try).

HI @BSchwartzkopf,

Can you share the DWF with me? I would like to see if I can attach it in any of the versions of AutoCAD I am currently running.
