I am currently trying to use Batch Plot to turn a drawing into a PDF in AutoCAD 2018. However, every time I try to do so, the plotting fails and it sends a crash report. The plotting errors screen doesn't say what the error is, just that it failed. I have an earlier revision of this drawing that I am able to plot perfectly with no errors and the current revision has all the same settings as far as I can tell. The only changes made between this revision and the previous one are all visual changes within the drawing itself. The first picture shows the crash report message pop-up I get upon publish failure. The second picture shows the error messages dialogue box after the failed publish. The multiple failures are my different attempts today to try to plot with different page setups. The success is the earlier version that plotted perfectly like I previously stated. And the third picture is of the publish settings screen before confirming to publish and it shows no errors with the page setups, which are the exact same (literally imported from the previous revision) as the previous revision that successfully plotted. Like previously stated, there are no obvious changes settings-wise between the previous revision and the current one but the previous revision publishes just fine every time while I have yet to even publish one sheet from the current revision. The publish settings are also the same for other drawings entirely that I have also been able to publish without issues.

I haven't dealt with that exact problem before, but if I could plot one dwg and not another, the first thing I would do is an AUDIT.

Sorry, but I am still new to AutoCAD and paper drawings. Most of my experience comes from modelling within solid edge and solidworks. What steps would I take in order to do this?

A convention we often use is that of capitalizing the name of commands. Thus, you just type AUDIT at the command line.

Hi @Anonymous,
I see that you are visiting as a new member to the AutoCAD forum. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!
I'm sorry to see you are having problems using the PUBLISH command on this drawing. Can you share the file with me so I can test it? Also, the image shows a CER that you could submit. Did you do that step? if so, please provide me with the report number so I can examine the report.

Hi @Anonymous,
You were able to send me your file that was exhibiting PUBLISH errors.
This drawing failed for me too when using PUBLISH. It had quite a bit of corruption. I would never recommend putting so many layouts into a single drawing because it is nearly impossible to recover the data if the drawing fails.
I was able to go to each layout and PURGE, and then Audit. This was very time consuming so I gave up on that approach because this will not always fix layout corruption.
Instead, I created a new file and used Design Center to import the layouts from your file into mine. I did this in small groups of 10 layouts at a time. After each import I used Purge and Audit to verify things were still working properly . I also ran a Publish after these steps.
After completing the import of all 118 layouts I am able to publish the set without error.
It sounds like you have a bunch of similar drawing files so I encourage you to try my steps to see if that will correct some of the behavior.
