Drawing tiny when scaled 1:100, what am i doing wrong?

Hey guys,

Im pretty sure i have drawn my drawing at a tiny scale so when i try and plot it to 1:100 it just disappears so is there anything i can do to fix this?! I assumed i was drawing in meters so 8 meters on the site would equal an 8 when doing the line so yeah ive obviously messed up in doing this. Any help is appreciated!

Attach the drawing and we'll check it out.  Could be any number of things.

easy way to fix this just draw a line at the correct distance and use the ''align'' comm and scale based on alignment points.

Hi,

it seems that it's scale issue status,I suggest to enter the digits { ( 1 - 0.1 ) and mm } see attached image.

Your model is drawn in Meters but the title block is mm so you have to change the scale of the VP by 1000.  So if 1:100 is the desired plotting scale, and MS=M and PS=mm scale would be 1 : .1

1 : 0.1 or 10:1 with whole numbers

Dropping the leading zero on a sub-one value is a pet peeve of mine.

Hey guys i appreciate all of the replies! Could someone give me steps from being on the drawing page to plotting at 1:100 on an a2 piece of paper? i have attempted to change the units but the pdf i get is blank! thanks guys.

go to your a2 paperspace sheet.

make sure you have a 1:100vp. if you dont the easiest way double click into your vp and at the bottom right hand of your screen click you scale menu ''edit drawing scale'' and create a 1:100. depending on your ''units'' it could be different mine is 1 paper space unit to .1 drawing units.

your vp will adjust.

then plot your a2 sheet. your scale will be 1:1

does vp stand for viewpoint? and when setting up my page do i make the plot scale 1mm to 10 units? cheers

the drawing i sent you is indeed the drawing i need to scale but i got it wrong and it needs to be at 1:200 on a2

Hi Jed – I trust you on the scales.

Here is your file with the contours inserted as a block. I then went to Layout 1 and created a Pagesetup to define papersize, plotter (OPDF), plot style, etc.

You will note the paper is set to a scale of 1:1. Then I created viewport and zoomed 1:1
