Docked Palettes - Can they be 'delayed'?

Is it possible to incorporate a delay (of maybe half a second or so) to Docked Palettes so that when you hover over them there is a slight pause before they pop out?

I have some toolbars arranged vertically along side the right hand edge and sometimes find that I inadvertently hover over the docked palette when I don't want to, and I then have to move the cursor away again and wait a few seconds for them to hide before I can go back to try and hit the toolbar button. Passing the cursor onto the second monitor can also do this sometimes. I think a slight pop-up delay would prevent this unwanted behaviour in most cases.
