I know that, in order to dimension drawings, I should go to dimsty.
How should I do the settings so that the feet show up in tenths and not inches?
For instance, I want 77.1, and not 77' 1-3/16".
Thanks in advance for your answers.

Hi @paul.wood,
I will assume your drawing units are currently set to inches. If this is the case, open your dimstyle and verify that the Primary Units are set to Decimal. Then on the same tab enter 1/12 in the Measurement Scale Factor. If you want to see the foot indicator you can also add the ' in the Suffix field.

I am going to answer my own question here.
type in "dimsty" at the command line,
select "modify" on right
go to "Primary Units" tab,
Select "Unit Format" as "decimal"
Select "precision" as however many decimal places you want,
in my case to 1 decimal place.

Thanks, John
I see that I forgot to set the scale factor to 1/12,
which changed the inches to feet for me, which is what I wanted.
Thanks very much for taking the time to reply.
