i draw a normal drawing and i placed dimensions but when i xref this file to another file the dimensions just disappear.

in the same time when i open the original file i find the dimensions in their places correctly.

how do i make the dimensions appear in the xref file?

Hi,

Open the external reference manager command "ER" and then try reloading all the xref.

If this doesn't work then check if the dimension is annotative(select the dimension and see properties). If yes then try to match the annotation of xref and the drawing into which its been xrefed.

Still not working, then attach the drawing along with xref so that we can test what is going wrong.

If this works, you should learn about annotation feature!

The problem is that your annotation dimensions are not set up to you current annotation scale.
