Hi @Anonymous,

Have you checked the CMDDIA variable to see if it is turned on?

ATTDIA and ATTreq should be set to 1

What does the "sysvarmon" say ?

Sysvarmonitor could be after 2010 (I'm not sure)

Did you try ALT+Tab after the insert command ?

alt + tab is a keyboard shortcut for switching through programs you have open on you desktop...

Does turning dynamic input off work?

Mind you, if you use dynamic input you wouldn't want to do that...

Alt+spacebar doesn't do anything.

turning off dynamic input off just makes it where i have to use the command bar.

Have you tried these keyboard combinations:

Alt+Space bar
M
Hit any of the arrow keys on the keyboard
Move mouse to center of screen and dialog boxes off screen will follow

(This assumes the dialog box is open, just off screen)

I'd try it with a dialog box that is working first so you know what is happening and how it works.

if you look at the screenshot i posted, it gives me prompts instead of a dialog box. the dialog box isn't hidden. if the dialog box was hidden it wouldn't give me the prompts. but i did try it just in case but the results was as i figured. if i am in the command the the prompts on screen it doesn't give me the option to move the window because there is no window to move.

Long shot:

To Display Hidden Messages and Dialog Boxes

Use this method to display all dialog boxes that are marked to not display again or to always use a specified option.

  1. Click Application button Options.
  2. In the Options dialog box, System tab, under General Options, click Hidden Messages Settings.
  3. In the Hidden Message Settings dialog box, select the dialog boxes or messages that should no longer be hidden.
