HI,

since a POLYLINE is a connected sequence of line segments usually when you start to creat 3D objects POLYLINES are the right and proper command for all 3D commands ( Extrude,Presspull,Sweep....etc).

Hi,

I guess this could be the answer:

In screenshot 1 you can see this contour that is then revolved to built up the body:

And the red contour seems to be the polyline object from your screenshot 2.

Hi,

>> How did he understand that he must start with this manner the drawing?

Training and/or experience. 😉

There are also other ways to get that done (starting 3D with outer cylinder, inner cylinder, ...), starting with 2D contours is in most cases the easier one.

>> when did he find the dimension 0.625 in the screenshot i do not see this dimension.?

You can see the

  • outer cylinder with the inner diameter 1,75 ==> radius 0.875
  • inner cylinder with an outer diameter 0.5 ==> radius 0.25

Result is 0.875 - 0.25 = 0.625
