Deselecting by Shift+Click Stopped Working?

A while ago I found out you can deselect something from your current selection set by holding down the shift key and clicking on it. This was a pretty useful tool...but then it randomly stopped working today for me. Any ideas as to why this might have happened?

I tried both the IOPTIONS method and _MAPIOPTIONS and the _MAPIOPTIONS worked for me on CIVIL3d 2024.

Shift clicking to deselect stops working when Raster Design is installed in your AutoCAD deployment package. In order to reenable this use IOPTIONS and it will be under the 'User Preferences' Tab -> Mouse Settings and uncheck 'Shift-Left Click Image Select'.
