Hidden Lines not showing up on other TABs Viewports - AutoCAD 2025

Good day.

Using AutoCAD 2025 latest updates. Also tested in AutoCAD 2024. Same results. Recover / Audit ran.

I have a drawing that has 4 TABs. Inside Model Space there are 4 Sites, and the 4 TABs are zoomed to those individually. Inside Model Space all lines are the same layer and all show as Hidden. All 4 TABs appear to me to have the same settings (that I can see). LTSCALE & PSLTSCALE the same. But my Hidden Lines only show up on the 1st TAB. I copy paste other Viewports to this one and the lines turn hidden. I took this Viewport and copy to the other 3 TABs and it does not turn hidden, but it was on TAB 1.

Driving me crazy.

Thanks, JRR.

Hi,

In model space:

Site 1 ---> ltscale for the lines is 0.50

Site 2,3&4 ---> ltscale for the lines is 15.0

So ... you have to change and make all ltscale for those lines in model space have the same ltscale value.
to fix your issue ... make in model space all hidden lines ltscale=0.50

In Model tab your SITE 1 currently does NOT show any Hidden lines

Selecting a PLINE object shows Linetype scale setting of 0.5

paullimapa_0-1758811424282.png

But still in Model tab your SITE 2, 3 & 4 DO show Hidden lines

Selecting a PLINE object shows Linetype scale setting of 15.0

paullimapa_1-1758811536206.png

So right away this tells me you already have different settings

This is why in Layout D-03.1 viewing Site 1 DO show Hidden lines

But all the other 3 Layouts do NOT.

So in Model tab just match the objects Linetype scale in the other Sites with Site 1

Sorry but that is not a true statement. If you click onto the lines through all 4 Viewports, the LTSCALE says 15.

No where does it show 0.50

My statement was " In model space: " NOT in viewport.😊

Very easy to see the difference.

In Model I copied SITE 1 objects onto SITE 2

Then in Layout D-03.2

You can clearly see the difference:

Now go inside the VPORT by entering command MSPACE

With Properties window opened

1) Select a PLINE from the objects from Site 1 (on the left) and Linetype scale shows 0.50

paullimapa_2-1758814556903.png

2) Select a PLINE from the objects form Site 2 (on the right) and Linetype scale shows 15.0

But on my system it says 15 for all 4 Tabs Lines.

I just did the first two tabs to show what mine says.

This is for my 2025 and 2024? Why others are seeing a different setting, I don't know.

This is strange. I just downloaded my own file that I posed and opened it.

My lines show the 0.5 setting for the 1st Tab and 15 for the other tabs.

But why?

There has to be something wrong with my AutoCAD.

I open my original file and go to Model Space and all lines show hidden and same setting of 15.

I go back to Paper Space and only Tab 1 Shows hidden??????

But yet the file I posed says 0.5 and 15 for the others.

That's odd..I wonder if there's something wrong on your 2025 installation.

Try the attached dwg I've been doing screenshots on and see if you still get those results.

Also do the same running 2024. Make sure 2024.1.7 updates have been installed.

Your file shows the 0.5 and 15.

Not sure why my original file does not show these numbers.

I have copied the file to other drives, to my laptop vs desktop and all reads 15.

My 2025 and 2024 versions:

Your file.

hate to keep this up... but I just went through 15 viewports manually and changed the LTs to get them to show right.

Using Isolate in Model space and hitting the match properties did not work. I have to go through the VPs. I then review

the VPs before printing and all looks great. I then proceed to print using Sheet Sets and now my tabs 2 thru 4 are right but

tab 1 is not. As with the other tabs that I did not show you all.

This is definitely a problem with AutoCAD.

Since you now have a dwg that do show the difference then I recommend working on that dwg moving forward

This is what I did to quickly change all PLINE objects to Linetype Scale 0.5

In Model tab (TILEMODE 1)

1) I selected one PLINE object (does not matter from which SITE)

paullimapa_0-1758821348087.png

2) Right mouse click and choose from the Cursor menu Select Similar

paullimapa_1-1758821405726.png

3) The Properties window will now show a total of 592 PLINES selected

paullimapa_2-1758821535369.png

4) In the Properties window next to Linetype scale change *VARIES* to 0.5

Now each VPORT in each Layout shows the hidden line

One more thing. When I selected all the Layouts, right mouse click and clicked on Publish Selected Layouts

paullimapa_7-1758822287029.png

The Publish window appears...make sure Publish in background is unchecked

paullimapa_8-1758822345028.png

Then the multipage pdf generated show hidden line on all 4 sheets (attached)

Good day!

Thanks for all the feedback. All of you really called out the issues. Not sure how to give everyone the credit.

But I really think there is something wrong with my software. My system did not show any differences between 15 and 0.5. My system showed all to be 15.

Great idea on selecting similar through the viewport. I did an Isolate inside model space to see the ones I wanted to change due to I did not show all elements of the drawing and there are 28 tabs in all now. Even when I did that, I still had to manually go into many of the tabs and select the lines and change the settings that way. To me, my Model Space is not talking to my Paper Space settings. It is like they have their own overrides and ignore the Model Space line settings. I have never had this before. It only inside this drawing. I past the objects into a new drawing and it works fine. I was going to re-create the drawing but with over 20 tabs, that is a lot of work.

Thanks, JRR!!
