Delete key not erasing objects in ACAD

Delete key not working in ACAD. Have to use erase command every time!! Tried PICKFIRST command and is already set to default 1 and therefore did not solve my problem.

What is PICKADD set to?

And are your objects layers unlocked?

I am having the same issue.  and NO.  Layers are not locked.

And your settings for PICKADD and PICKFIRST variables in the file are....?

OR you have one of those keyboards that requires you to Hold the FN key down then press DEL.

Faulty Delete key?  Try another keyboard.

perhaps try both del keys if you have the longer keyboard or turn numlock off first and then try the del key with the period?
