Hi all you smart people!
I have a slightly tricky situation which I would like to pitch the community, hopefully to get a quick resolution, situation is as follows:
Have a site layout which has World Coordinate System (WCS) and a defined site datum User Coordinate System (UCS), Have a block defined which has attributes within which returns the block position X, Y & Z, want to locate this block at multiple key points and extract the associated positions as data relative to the UCS defined, however it seems to be inherently linked to the WCS position only, which is not that useful as I would like it to return the points as per the local site datum defined positions instead.
Note : when the UCS is cycled from WCS to the local datum, the relative position displayed for each of the blocks is updated in the properties pallet, which is what we would expect, however the extracted values are only the WCS location regardless of the UCS selected, ‘field update’ and ‘Regen All’ also doesn’t have any affect…
Was hoping to just jump in and do a quick site datum extraction, but not so easy as first thought.
