cut and paste also block insert not working

I am not able to cut/ paste some details from one drawing into another or insert the details as a block. I need this done ASAP. Please HELP!!

"some details" may be the key here: what are these? What error message is listed in the commandline (press CTRL+F2 to expand it)?

I bet you cannot WBLOCK these "some details" too, correct?

Why not? What is stopping you? Error messages? Error dialogs? Post them here.

Are they Blocks or does the detail contain blocks?

In that case there might be a block name conflict,and you might have to rename the blocks in either one of the files before copy pasting or inserting. Refer to this : How to rename named objects in AutoCAD

We really need more info to try and come up with a resolution... If all else fails and you can't get copy/paste to work, you can always xref them in.

It MAY be that you have AEC objects in your selection set that you are copying to the clipboard.

However... Here is a trick that works for me:  Before you "Paste", simply click on ANY object in your current drawing (i.e. click on a line or a circle, etc) and then try to paste
