Curve segments plot thinner than line segments

Hi Everybody-

Curve segments are plotting thinner than line segments.

It is happening across multiple drawings, multiple projects, multiple users, and multiple offices.

I tried all of the different PDF .pc3 files and got the same results.

I tried every configuration with the Hardware Acceleration/Graphics Configuration.

I opened the pdf in Adobe rather than Bluebeam, and it looked the same.

I tried adjusting some properties in the .ctb file, but that didn’t change anything.

I opened the pdf in Chrome.  It was a little better, but I think that is because it doesn’t zoom in as close.

I researched online and found a couple of posts about it, but no solution was ever found.

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-forum/arcs-and-curved-polylines-plotting-thin-when-using-auto...

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/civil-3d-forum/curves-with-radius-under-xx-plotting-lighter-than-line...

I thought maybe it was because of an update, but I checked pdfs as far back as 10/2024, and they all have the same issue.

I have tried plotting without plot styles and assigning the lineweight to the layer.  Same results.

Any suggestions?  I have attached the etransmitted file if anyone wants to take a look.

Thanks so much!

Meredith

could you also answer the following:

1. AutoCAD version number: Enter ABOUT command, do a screenshot & share that here

2. Screenshot of the PLOT window

3. Attach PDF you generated with this issue

Hmmm,

is this problem still there, if you zoom in close in the PDF?

If yes, then it is just an inaccuracy of the PDF-viewer.

Here is the About screenshot and the PLOT screenshot.  The pdf is attached.  Thanks for your help!

Thanks!  But it seems weird that it is happening in multiple PDF viewers.  Both Bluebeam and Acrobat.

This is what I see zoomed in really close plotting using your plot settings:

Now the inner line/arcs are supposed to plot thinner using color 6 Magenta (0.009") compared to the outer lines using color 3 Green (0.010")

Using Acrobat as the viewer I could not really tell zoomed in that close that the curves are actually in different thickness compared to the lines.

Now there is a jog that occurs transitioning.

So I changed a couple of things just so I can see clearly:

color 6 Magenta (0.005") compared to the outer lines using color 3 Green (0.007")

Then I bumped up the resolution of the pdf device:

3600

4800

Now the jog at the connections are practically gone
