Curser turns into a No Entry Symbol - Problem solved Filedia

Whilst trying to open up AutoCAD files using the Open function through the AutoCAD interface the usual open dialogue box does not appear and when I try and select something else the mouse curser turns into a No Entry symbol (red circle with diagonal red line through it) even pressing Esc does nothing and I am unable to close the program without ending the task in task manager. I have restarted my PC and tried again and it is still the same.

What are the steps to reproduce this? Does it do it all the time?

Any chance there is a solution to this?  I tried changing the setting but still persists.

I also have a user reporting this. Anyone got an update for this?

I have the problem when I started from a drawing done by someone else. Doesn't seem to effect anything - just annoying. Selected all and copied into a new drawing and the problem followed!

Same problem just occurred  DOE sign curser when on command line and command ribbons.

Started when I opened a file for a consultant.  Went away after closed program and restarted.
