crazy annotations

Anonymous

Hi, This recently happened to my file. Not sure how or how to resolve this. I have tried selectionannodisplay, scalelistedit,-scalelilstedit, reset of scales, deleted annotation scales, turned off my add scale when annotation scale changes. It is CAD 2015. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I have also restored from a previous version and this issue is not present. but because it has been worked in I can not go back to the previous version.

Thanks, Lanee

Would it help if you selected all the text and turn off annotation as well as make it a uniform text height in the properties menu?

@ TheCADnoob, I tried your suggestion and all the text became really small and disconnected from its leader. Im not sure how this happened but I appreciate the suggestion. Open to others.

Is this model space or a layout? If it's model, did you scale the drawing?

HI @Anonymous,

You indicate that the text is in Leaders? I suggest that you attach your file so I can examine your Style(s), your Scaling, and dimstyles. I hope to provide a quick and easy solution for you.

In Styles I suggest you remove Annotative Scaling and set the Height to 0.

You should now be able to Qselect all the text, and in properties assign it a height.

Similarly, go into your Dimstyles and turn off the Annotative feature.

The above view is in model space. The drawing is 1:1. The annotations were done in the viewport in paper space. Which was fine for several months than I work in a few days and this happened. not sure if there is a command for this?

HI @Anonymous,

Try creating a new viewport, copying the annotation over to it and verifying the Viewport scale.

I have attached the DWG in another post. I would like to keep the annotation incase I need to modify the viewport scale. The text will adjust accordingly.

HI @Anonymous,

I went into your drawing and removed all the annotative scales except 1:1 on your blocks and on most of your text.

I then changed your modelspace to 1:1. Everything is pretty much showing up normally. You can then try to add (selectively) the annotative scales back to items if necessary.

I am not sure why your leaders don't associate with the text any longer. This might be part of the damaged that was caused.

I have attached my copy of your drawing to see if any of this helps.
