The original drawing was made with Linear so partly in 3D
At work I work with autocad LT 2015 but autocad 2016 has the same problem.
To locate the cullprit, all layers transferred to layer 0. (see attachment)
Autocad LT2015 on Windows 10 professional 64 bit , 8 GB ram.
Autocad 2016 on Windows professional 64 bit 32GB ram.
Draftsight, Bricscad also when opening this file, copy/paste error.
ps; don't look that lines are not linked, the arc's have been removed
Z=0
Can anyone verify the problem or at least has a clue why copy /paste is not working on various cad applications?

Hi,
>> The original drawing was made with Linear so partly in 3D
You'll need to have the application to copy & paste geometry from one drawing to another.

Hi,

i suggest to do the follow :
see now if your issue is resolved.

Imad Habash
That's the first things that I've done:
First audit, then purge.
Dxfout and then dxfin even between autocad and bricscad and draftsight.
if you open the dwg, a message says proxy etc but I see no proxy at all, just circles, lines, text, and poly lines.
Arx applications not being used should be purged.
I even got super purge and hard purge to a level that the drawing does not disappears , still no copy/paste to clipboard.
Strange enough, there is something copying but no paste , see clipavu and paint pasting the clipboard.
So what is saved? A Bitmap instead of lines etc.
And , autocad and other cad applications can not paste from the clipboard.
Microsoft paint could paste the clipboard contect.
I did copy the problem dwg so all on layer 0 and no arx applications to a USB stick and here on autocad LT copy/paste works.
I guess that I had to restart the computer instead of closing autocad 2016 and restarting autocad.
Still strange that closing an restarting the application did not solve the problem.
So problem now known and solved.
