Hello @Anonymous,

I briefly remembered the process, but tested it out to refresh my memory. Smiley Happy

It will not work with all commands like for example, you can not use Copy during xref editing.

Copy Xref objects into a new drawing:

  1. Select the xref & use the "Open Xref" command it will open the linked file

     2. Select objects to copy & right click "Clipboard > Copy at Base Point "

     3. Go to the new drawing & right click "Paste" into the new drawing file

You can easily get the objects from the XREF into the current drawing by using NCOPY. If you need them in a different drawing entirely, you can cut them from the current drawing and paste to the desired file.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Hi and Welcome to AutoCAD Forum,

>> I want to ask if there is a way to copy the objects  from the xref  im editing to another drawing.

While you're in reference editing , there is NO way for that.

  • ** COPYCLIP command not allowed during reference editing **
  • ** COPYBASE command not allowed during reference editing **
  • ** WBLOCK command not allowed during reference editing **
