Converting a .plt to PDF file

Anonymous
Not applicable

I've been given the task of converting some .plt files to PDFs and I cant quite figure it out. They are shown as AutoCAD LT Plot files (.plt). I was told by my boss not to download any programs in fear of getting a virus. I've tried some web converters but none have quite worked. We do have a KIP printer in the office which I've read is a help. I can load the .plt file into the KIP Print Pro app and can see the file in the preview section but I cant seem to be able to convert it to anything. Does anyone know how I might be able to accomplish this conversion? Thanks for the help.

Hi,

i'm afraid that you need a program that can read your PLT files  and a program that can print to PDF.

Good Luck..

HI @Anonymous,

If the PLT format is the same format as the same as the KIP then you should be able to follow @Patchy's advice. IF it is a different language then there might be some other options. Is it possible to attach one to a post so I can take a look?

Hi @David125,

Try Kip.com to see if it is available there.  I am not certain there current version is still called that however.

This worked for me after various other online converter services did not work. Thank you so much.
