convert x_t to dwg

Maxim,

If you're out there, John Vellek--he's out of the office for a couple of weeks--suggested I contact you.  I am running AutoCAD 2018 on a MacBook Pro (mid 2015) running OS 10.13.6.  I've been given a ParaSolid x_t file, and I need it converted to a dwg file so I can work with it.  Is this something you can help me with?  I've attached the file--it's not terribly big--2.4 MB.

I've tried posting twice, and it doesn't seem to be working--maybe 2.4MB is too big, if so, an error message to that effect would be nice.

In any case,  I've zipped the file--it's now 716KB.

Thank you,

P James Norris

Hi,

I'm not @john.vellek, however I converted the file and attached it here.

Please verify the units and the geometry itself as I can't give any warranty).

Mr Neswadba,

Thank you very much for the very quick reply and converted file--I really appreciate it!

I'm able to open the file, bu when I do, I'm given the attached warning, and I'm not sure what it means.  Are the 409 unsupported objects not being displayed?

Thanks!

P James Norris

Mr Neswadba,

No, the file now opens without the warning about unsupported objects--can you tell me what you did differently in this conversion?  Are the previously unsupported objects going to be visible/editable?

Thank you,

P James Norris

Hi,

>> the file now opens without the warning about unsupported objects

Great, so you can continue to work 😉

>> what you did differently

The first file was created with AutoCAD 2019

The new file was created from the previous file + run command -EXPORTTOAUTOCAD and saved it back to DWG-2013 format.

>> Are the previously unsupported objects going to be visible/editable?

That are no geometry objects (in case of that file), it's just some additional settings within the file (maybe from ObjectEnablers I have installed) you won't use/need to use.

So at least: what you see as imported geometry is the same 😉

Hi

I saw that you managed to convert an x_t file to DWG.
I wonder if you could do the same for me or tell me how to do it myself.

Kind regards

Nisim
