convert raster image in pdf to dwg file

I am trying to convert a pdf file (with a raster image) to a dwg file so that I can upload it to Fusion 360 and create a 3D model based off of the drawing.

I start off by using the "import pdf" command and then selecting the "Raster Images" check box in the dialog box

I can then view the drawing in Autocad 2018 but since it is a raster image there is no way for me to export the drawing in a dwg format.

Is there a way for Raster design to convert the raster image to a vector format that can then be exported as a dwg file?

I'm using the "followers" and "primitives" command from the "Vector & Recognize text" panel but it says "No Raster found"

Raster Design will not accept a PDF file for Raster to Vector conversion. The list of supported formats is in the HELP system, but I would recommend a TIFF format at no more than 800dpi resolution.

If you have AutoCAD 2017 and beyond - have you tried the PDFIMPORT command?

@WarrenGeissler I did use pdf import and that feature is great! When I export the file as a dxf or dwg and I try to upload it into Fusion 360 the drawing itself will not convert. I am guessing because it is in a raster format.
