convert ellipse into pline with more segments

Hello  there!

I am trying to draw the sidecut of a ski and need to convert my ellipse into a polyline. However, with the methods I know (wmfout/in and dxfout/ddinsert) The ellipse is subdivided into polylines with too few segments for my need. I was wondering if there is a way to change the amount of segments the ellipse is divided into.

I know that ths is possible when you convert splines to polylines, so there should be a way I figure.
