Convert 3D Drawing to Simple 2D Drawing

I do a lot of furniture planning and I regularly need a method to convert 3D furniture drawings provided by the manufacturer into a simple 2D plan view block.

use flatten command and overkill to eliminate extra lines. thanks

Thank you. I executed both commands (flatten with remove hidden lines = no) and overkill. I have attached the CAD file for what resulted. I still have all the polyline mesh. What I really want is to remove all the interior mesh lines to create a simple file with just the outlines. What is the best way to do that?

hello, how about this? try edit blocks and explode to removed extra lines. thanks

You can use the Flatshot command and make it sure that you will obscured lines to hide the unnecessary lines behind the object.

You can also use the solprof command but in order for you to made to command you have to move in layout
