Conversion From .STP to .DWG

I was wondering if there is a way to convert files from .STP to .DWG on Autocad 2014? Or does the inclusive Inventor Fusion with the purches of Autocad have the conversion capabilities?

Thanks,

This import type makes all object from the stp file into one object. Is there something that can be done to avoid that ?

I have AutoCAD 2013 for Mac and am having trouble opening an .stp file in CAD.  The file is 1.2MB. This is a 3D file, but I'm not sure I am in 3D model space.  This is my first time with 3D.  Any help is appreciated.

At least the 180F7003_A vert.stp file imported without problems into AutoCAD 2016 (Win64).

Now when we know the AutoCAD version you are using, I have retried the Import in AutoCAD 2014 and it also works fine. Using AutoCAD 2014 SP1 in Win7-64, the IMPORT command.

Hi,

>> i do that but it does'nt work...

What is "that"?

Which messages do you see in the command-line as result of command start and messages from the program.

Some other questions which might help to answer them

  • which version of AutoCAD (and update/service pack) are you using
  • can you upload the STP file so we can try that file on our systems.
