Color Standards

Hi, this is a weird question and i'm pretty sure I know what may be said, but I was asked to find out color standards for drawings I work with. Please keep in mind these drawings are for reference, What I mean is these are for tracking information with in our buildings so they never change but we highlight certain items and that is what i'm being asked for a std. Thanks for anything in advance.
