Hi everyone!
I have downloaded a block and would like to change its colour to red so it stands out more on the drawing to highlight the drawing purpose. Can you look at this as i understand everything i have done to change it red still keeps it white?
Also; special thanks to @GrantsPirate for the video tutorial for scaling, i'm still using it until it sinks in!

Because the the color of the nested object
a) is not red or
b) is set ByLayer, but the layer is not Layer"0"
c) is set ByLayer, but the layer of the nested object is not red
Use BEDIT to check the color(&Layer) of the nested objects.

EDIT: Change the layer to Layer"0" and the color to ByBlock.

How should i know it without your dwg, i can guess..
Select the Blockreference.
Start Bedit.
Select the Block content (CTRL+A for example),
in properties palette (CTRL+1):
change the Layer to 0
change the color to ByBlock
BSAVE
BCLOSE
Test again.
Still a problem?
Question: What kind of object is it?
Open BEDIT again, select only one (the biggest) object, check the object type in properties pallete or
by using command LIST.
Sebastian
And set back your current color.. CECOLOR=> ByLayer
otherwise all new objects will get the color red instead of bylayer
Sebastian
Slap yourself on the back @cadffm i was missing the select block!! in bedit
Thank you for your patience and time i really appreciate it!
Can someone put this description in http://help.autodesk.com/view/ACD/2018/ENU/?guid=GUID-25E9F20C-D146-426C-8815-37DF48D2D33F
this walk through is pants.
