Cant select objects

For some reason i cant select objects for reason i the layers are not locked. I tried the PICKADD options .

The defpoints layer is only for leader nodes definition points and should never be used for drawing objects.

Follow @TomBeauford's advice in Message 6, and you can Search for more discussion about this.  If you want something to not Plot, make a non-Plotting Layer for it, with a name that means something related to what it's about.

 

But to elaborate a little bit:  When Layer "0" is either off or frozen [or both], objects on Layer "DEFPOINTS" cannot be selected, nor can you Object-Snap to locations on them.

Check the object selection settings. Type "options" in the command line and go to the "Selection" tab. Make sure "Noun/verb selection" is enabled and "Pickfirst" is set to 1

I had a similar problem, and I did <CTRL> A to select all, and manually deselected my visible objects, then deleted the remaining objects.   That fixed my problem.
