Cannot use parametric constraint on extruded object.

In the example I have attached of an Alclad tm plate of 0.040" thickness, I have filleted the plate using parametric constraints. You can see these if you unhide the dimensioned fx formula constraints near the filleted edge in a zoomed Lef 2D Wireframe.

So, the next thing I did was to extrude this form, with the objective to extrude to a particular length. The proposed length would be around 4 1/2 inches.

I wanted to create a new dimensional constraint to have the extrusion exact but using the Align or Linear constraint tools, I cannot get the second point to snap to where I want it. As a result I get nothing.

Can you help with an explanation for this please? And, how can I work around this please?

For 3D parametrics, (extrusion) I think you might want to investigate Autodesk Inventor or Autodesk Fusion 360.

Thanks JDMather, I am wondering if there is a way to unextrude to a new length. I have attached later version of this file.
