can't print

I have Autocad 2000. I have an HP Designjet T520 24" printer.  I can't get them to commuicate with each other. When I try to install the printer to Autocad 2000 I get the following error. How can I fix this .

Read this AKN topic https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Error-...

I assume you have R2000's PLOTUPDATE patch installed too: it was required back in the day to work with Windows drivers.

I do have the plotupdate installed and I am still getting the same error. I have tried to download the lastest driver for the plotter, but no luck. Any other suggestions?

And the first solution I posted? There were two in my post.

I am sorry, I did read the first answer. This printer is a network printer and is the only printer on the ipaddress.
