I am building a template. In that template I brought over some legend info etc. somehow my template went from 10 linetypes to 500. I tried deleting some of the lines but AutoCAd says
The selected lintype was not deleted. The following lintypes cannot be deleted. Linetypes By Layer, ByBlock and Continuous, The Current Layer linetype, X-ref-dependent linetypes, Linetypes reference by layers or objects.
I purged the drawing and also purged the nested objects. They will not be deleted. In the purge frame I click the bottom items that cannot be purged and there are a tonne of blocks that I assume these linetypes are associated too. But can't delete them.
Any ideas on how to get rid of these blocks or linetypes?

Nice try but there's already a solution that was marked 6 years ago.
You could be right but there are so many nonsense answers to this problem that it's hard to find a solution that works.
I had the same problem a few years ago and must have copied an element from an "infected drawing ". Was difficult to remember how I fixed it last time.
Could be right? Maybe you don't know how this forum works. When the OP gets a solution that works they can mark that post or posts as the solution. That is what has happened here. Look for the green check mark.
