CAD Blocks disappear after pasting in a document !!

Hi all,

I'm new to autocad and am having issues with trying to transfer/past over some preexisting cadblock objects. I can open them in a new document perfectly but when I copy and paste them into my existing document some of them are disappearing. Please see images attached.

I'm not sure if this is a layering issue or if I need to make adjustments to my existing file. If anyone knows please advise as I cannot proceed with my work until this is resolved.

Thanks in advance,

GM

Hi and welcome to AutoCAD Forum,

>> but when I copy and paste them into my existing document some of them are disappearing.

then it's not a paste problem !! your successfully pasted objects not appear , right ?

>> I'm not sure if this is a layering issue

either you have a Layer or Scale problem issue . i mean that you have to turn ON all layers and/or thaw all layers ( LAYON and LAYTHW command ) . also you may have a duplicate block name , before pasting check existing block names that you don't have the same name for a different blocks. we can not know without your CAD dwg ?

LAYON seemed to be the correct resolution. Thanks for your help 🙂
