Automatically extracting total volume from a 3D CAD file

I am wondering if it is possible to automatically extract the volume of a 3D shape from a CAD file with one click or even without opening the file.. I have 3000 files to open, extract the volume, and copy past the volume to a excel spreadsheet.. wondering if there is a way to batch process using a lisp or a macro
