AutoCAD User Exam

I'm interested in taking the AutoCAD Certified User Exam, but I was wondering if anyone knew whether you could use commands for the software questions or if you had to use the ribbon. I believe the Certified Professional Exam allows you to use the software any way you like, but I haven't heard one way or the other about the User Exam.

Also, is there a set number of times you have to click the right option before it moves you on to the next question?

Thanks!

Hi @Anonymous,

Welcome to the Autodesk community!

To help kick start this thread you can visit this Autodesk AutoCAD® Certified User Exam site. The site has practice and exam preparation portion. You could investigate first hand about using the command and or ribbon when answering the exam questions. My personal opinion I don't see why you wouldn't be able to use both options but I could be speaking out of turn.

I am more than positive other users will be posting shortly with their own opinions and suggestions. I'll circle back to this thread should I find any other information that could be of use to you. Smiley Happy

I checked out the link in your post.  There is a link to a PDF towards the bottom of the page, Certified User Skills.  The PDF has a ton of links to a wiki that has been retired.  The rest of the links point to a help file from the 2011 release.  Is there a current version of this document?

Okay,

I have found a few links that could help and that are bit more recent.

Certification options

  • Right now I only see the AutoCAD 2015 as the most current certification option. The link will lead you to the Exam preparation road map. There you can look over the exam topics and objectives.

Locate an Authorized Training Center (ATC)

  • Find a training center near you to practice and learn more about AutoCAD or other software you might be interested in.

My CADSITE

  • Offers free quizzes to test your knowledge

AutoCAD Exam Practice Quiz

  • Offers a mock quiz and user support interaction.

Hope the links help. Please feel free to post back your experience once you've taken the exam or if you have any other questions.
