AutoCAD - Thousand separator in Coordinate field

Anonymous

Hello,

I have created a block which when placed shows the X- and Y-coordinates of the block cross-hair, according to:

1.PNG

The problem is that I want these numbers to be separated by the thousands...
I have found the option for changing it in the FIELD menu, but unfortunately it's marked grey, according to:
2.PNG

Is there an easy way around this?

Your field value is not ONE number,

You can create 3 separate field for X X Z,

I have created on field for X, and one for Y. They are shown separately if you look at my pictures.

Thank you for the response, but this only removes the highlight of the field. I still cant change the thousand separator for the coordinate in the Field options.

Hi,

you can take the insertion X value as formula and then you can use the result as number with thousands separator...

May be this video helps you to get this done!

Thats what i also wanted, but it isn't working!

The field value comes as X,Y,Z into the formular field?

The problem was my ARCHITECTURE style for length units, sorry.

We are on the right way, just my current setting was wrong.

Offtopic: You don't need to copy the fieldcode, you can create your field inside the formular editor directly

The way via format field and *1000 shorts your number, so it isn't the same but for usual it is what users really want,

you too?

field

1234.33 => 1.23433

The other option you are looking for just add a point on the thousand

1234,33 => 1.234,33

FortiGuard is a program on your computer what blocks youtube -links.

Reposting a youtube link will not work on your side.

You solved it by my way: Have fun with fields.
