Autocad running really slow all of a sudden

Auto yesterday afternoon after a fantastic day where it performed well suddenly started running really really slow, when i press Ctrl+C, autocad will freeze for about 20 to 30 seconds, then when i go to paste the same thing happens

i have tried resetting to defaults see pic below, other wise what else can i try ?

just a few questions to start:

• had you rebooted your workstation?
• had you looked to control panel if there was an update installed
• had you disabled your antivirus software
• had you tried to disconnect from network

i figured it out, it was the set of drawings, they range between 30mb and 9mbs
