autocad running poorly on my new computer

just got a new computer with a 8750H 6 core processor and a 1050Ti graphics card. the program is being very unresponsive and sometimes crashing. its a half decent computer and ive had auto-cad run on much worse computers. im just doing 2D line sketches with minimal features so why would it be running so slow?

You do know that AutoCAD still is a single core software, right?

What does ABOUT command show to be your exact AutoCAD version? Show us, post that screenshot.
Do the same with GRAPHICSCONFIG command's pop-up too.

hello thanks for the reply, hardware acceleration was set to off and the program runs as it should now.
