Whenever AutoCAD is open it's filling my temp folder with 1kb files every couple seconds with the name accc******
It only contains the sentence "ERROR: Can't delete temp file C:\Users\WOUTER~1\AppData\Local\Temp\accc104802. (errno=13)."
how can i stop AutoCAd from making these files or let it be able to delete them?
I'm just curious about the ACCC files. I've been reworking my tool palettes with Acad MEP 2023. When transferring palettes between the content browser and the workspace palette set, these and other files keep clogging my temp folder. My temp folder becomes too full for the transfer process to work, and I must keep clearing out my temp folder.
"It only contains the sentence 'ERROR: Can't delete temp file C:\Users\WOUTER~1\AppData\Local\Temp\accc104802. (errno=13).'"
I have a bunch of these, too, and I haven't been doing what you describe in AutoCAD. There are about 1300 of them today, using up a grand total of about 157KB on my harddrive.
Can you give us an idea of about how many of these are accumulating in a given timeframe?
The oldest date on my files is 6/13/2022; the most recent is today. I suspect that these are being (and have been) produced every time I use AutoCAD, but I've never deleted them (AFAIK). I've been running AutoCAD 2021 for more than a year now, so, I suspect this means that somehow they eventually get deleted. (Today is the 29th, and the 13th was 16 days ago. I'll check in a few days to see if any older ones get deleted and maybe that will provide a hint about what's going on under the covers.)
In any case, I doubt that these files in particular are the cause of the issue you seem to be experiencing while you do your palette transfers. Do you get any error messages that you can share?
I've attached a printout of my temp folder. The general timeframe for this set of activity was about 45 minutes. The .png files (they are actually .tif files) appear to be images of the lightning bolt symbol indicating a dynamic block. Guess that means the more palette tools that are dynamic, the more that stuff fills my temp folder.

Sometimes there a line above that as well sometimes those ACC files are literally empty (or at least they are in Notepad): we all get them, all day long, on all PCs around here, its not new, but very much ignorable 😉
"...but very much ignorable"
Until it (possibly) becomes a cause for performance issues, which is what @mmermel (and maybe @wouter.wijnants, too) has asked for help with. Maybe this is "normal"; maybe it's not. Being dismissive (and quite rude, frankly) is unnecessarily distracting and is not helpful.

Hence the comment "..purchase a commercial license of CCLEANER and set it to do all you want all the time anytime and never look back. Just be careful how you use it, it can "clean" more than you want sometimes..."
Focusing only on portions of a reply and being offended because it did not align with your 'feelings' are on you, no one else.
Good luck.
"Hence the comment "..purchase a commercial license of CCLEANER..."
Sure, @pendean, this particular comment does appear to be an attempt at being helpful that also appears to be relatively civil. Good job! But occasional moments of (relative) civility don't erase frequent acts of rudeness, or give one a license to commit them.
"Reading replies your own way and being offended because the replies do not align with your 'feelings' are on you, no one else."
"Focusing only on portions of a reply and being offended because it did not align with your 'feelings' are on you, no one else."
I have no choice but to read replies my own way.
And when I read a reply, I do my best to comprehend the entire reply. The portion I quoted wasn't even the rude part.
I don't have to be offended to recognize rudeness and understand its destructive effects. No one here ever wants it, needs it, or deserves it.
Being intentionally rude (it cannot be accidental) and then blaming those who recognize it for recognizing it and calling it out (whether offended or not) is "on you, no one else". Surely you've received enough feedback on this over the years to realize that "the problem" lies with you and not those who've pushed back. The feedback you've received is not intended to be offensive, it's intended to be informative and counter-destructive.
this may solve the issue.
Performance issues when using the Blocks Palette (in AutoCAD 2020 or later) may be related to the 'Recent' blocks tab. Setting the BLOCKMRULIST (System Variable) which controls the number of most recently used blocks displayed in the Recent tab of the Blocks palette to 0 (zero) may also improve performance.
Really unfortunate that this has not been answered yet. Not only does it fill up the Temp Folder with thousands of files, it also seems to Trigger Microsoft Defender (Antimalware Service Executable) and my laptop is running at constant 100% CPU usage

There are quality (some free) 3rd party tools to address this issue in the meantime, some are discussed in this thread that you replied to, explore them. You can also set that not-great Microsoft Defender to ignore certain files if you already know where they come from (aka one or more of the programs you trust enough to use on your PC) to minimize false-alerts.
If you wish Autodesk to "do something about it", you and a few 1000s of other users will need to notify the corporation over here where they look for end-user feedback https://www.autodesk.com/company/contact-us/product-feedback
