Autocad Layout view style issues

While using autocad for 3d modeling, I couldn't change the view style in the layout, if I try to change it from 2d wireframe to any other style the console sends an error message (example: "unknow command conceptual"). The viewing styles work properly only in the model. I even tried to reset to default settings and I re-installed the program but it doesn't work.

>>"I didn't know how to use the layout for 3d modeling, I always draw 2d things."

What's the difference?

>>"I typed mspace and now the view in the layout works as the model space. "

As it would do for 2D also, there is no difference.

>>"Using modelspace in the layout to make visual styles work won't cause any problem while trying to print the views into a pdf file right?"

Hopefully not, try it.
