Autocad is out to get me

Does anyone have this problem selecting 3d faces (or entire objects)?  Each time I approach a solid with the intention of selecting a face, even if I hover and it lights up, Autocad (2026) will pick the face behind, next to, above, or any other face but the one I want.  I can change my view orientation,  the UCS, the shading style, whatever.  It seems as though it knows which one I am trying to pick (as even the most casual observer would) and absolutely refuses to pick it.  Especially when it is the obvious choice!  FRUSTRATING AND COSTLY!

Have you tried turning on selection cycling and then selecting and choosing the object from the popup dialog?  Ctrl+W can be used to turn it on or the SELECTIONCYCLING variable.

Hi @Michael_MannLSH9A, I am marking @chriscowgill7373 as one of the solutions for now as his suggestion was the same as some of our documentation on this issue. Other ways of selecting faces of a 3D object are as follows:

If one of the other solutions above did the trick, feel free to make it the accepted solution. Hope you have a great weekend!
