Autocad hangs up for a couple of seconds every 3 or 4 commands, extremely annoying

I'm using barebones autocad 2023 Just installed on my laptop, the file size is small nothing special. Any wierd settings I should be looking at?

To be specific, it was some of the file location paths that needed to be repaird, it's running much smoother now.
