AutoCAD freeze at startup on Windows 8.1

Hi everybody,

Since a couple of weeks, very often when I start AutoCAD (2014, 2015 or 2016) it freeze on the start screen. No error message. To sotp it I use the Task Manager. To resolve the problem I need to restart the computer. I look to other post similar but I have found no solution. It doesn't happen always. Someday it doesn't happen and another day  I had to reboot a couple of times in the same day, very frustrating.

I run it on a laptop (Eurocom) using dual card (Intel graphics and nVidia Quadro K1100). Is anobody had this problem too? Did you find a solution?

We came across one or two instances where disabling the Intel card in the bios resolved similar issues

As long as you ensure the nVidia is working it'll be ok. The easiest way to do it is through device manager in the control panel:-

I updated the driver of my Intel HD Graphics 4600 and it seems to work better now. Thank you.
