AutoCAD 2023 - Moving floating window back to file tab

I can't drag the floating window back to the file tab.  I am using Autocad 2023, on windows 11.

I can make them float, but when I want to move them back, I have to other click, and pick move to file tab.

It's not a big deal, just would like to know how to drag back. My sysfloating is set at (0). I set the variable to (1) and it floats immediatley, but still have to other click to move back to the file tab.

Floating window? Do you mean the commandline? floating panel that got pulled off the Ribbon?
Something else?

Share a screenshot(s) of that if you can, but also one of your ABOUT command pop-up too please.
Confirm your LOCKUI variable setting too please.

I mean floating drawing.

trying to drag it back on to the file tab, so it's not floating anymore.

this is odd...are you running the latest AutoCAD 2023?

Though I'm on Win 10, with LOCKUI at 0, I'm able to grab the title bar of the floating dwg window, drag & drop it over the top of the AutoCAD app where the + tab is and automatically a blue tab appears snapping it back:

Drag/Drop works fine here all day long in AutOCAD2023.1.2 too

ABOUT command says what about your 2023 version? Perhaps its a Win11 issue, we don't have that in our offices.

Thanks for the info.

A quick ask around the office and no one here using 2023 is facing your issue at all. Sorry. I suspect your next step will need to be to open a support case with Autodesk if you are on subscription to seek out Autodesk Support's help: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/customer-service/account-management/users-software/support-options/we...

If this minor missing feature is bothering you that much though everything else is working then you may want to try uninstalling and then reinstalling. But my thought is to just leave it alone.

I guess you didn't read were I said "it's not a big deal"  It's sure not worth uninstalling and reinstalling. Thank you for your advice.
