AutoCAD - Multileader style

Hi all,

I've create a file with two Mleader style and I've used both in the drawing. The Mleader is based on a Block so I can define the container of the text.

Now I need to modify the forms so I've change the source block but nothing appens in the drawing.

Is there a way to upload a modification to a Mleader already used in the drawing?

Thanks!

Sure, that's the way it works. Block used in mleader can be changed and updated. You probably edited a different block.

Post your dwg to take a look.

In AutoCAD, you can modify a multi-leader (mleader) object by using the MLEDIT command. This command allows you to edit the text and formatting of the mleader, as well as the properties of its leader line and arrowhead.

Here is an example of how to use the MLEDIT command:

  1. Select the mleader object that you want to modify.
  2. Type MLEDIT in the command line and press Enter.
  3. The MLeader Edit dialog box will appear, allowing you to edit the text, formatting, and properties of the mleader.
  4. Make the desired changes to the mleader.
  5. Click OK to apply the changes and close the dialog box.

You can also use the MLEADER command to create a new mleader with the same properties as an existing mleader. This can be useful if you want to create a copy of the mleader with some modifications. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Select the mleader object that you want to copy.
  2. Type MLEADER in the command line and press Enter.
  3. In the Mleader Creation tab, select the "Same as Selected" option from the Leader Structure drop-down list.
  4. Make any desired changes to the mleader properties in the other tabs.
  5. Click OK to create the new mleader with the modified properties.

Note that these instructions are for AutoCAD. If you are using a different CAD software, the steps and commands may be different. It is always a good idea to consult the software's documentation or online help for specific instructions on how to modify mleader objects.

Hi,

attached the dwg.

Here the steps that I do in order to modify the container of the MLeader with number 1 in the attached image:

  • Select the row to enter the MLeader modification menù (2);
  • Select the MLeader in the list that I want to modify and seelct the Modify button (3);
  • Select the new block that I want for the container (4).

Even if I select OK to close the window nothing changes in the drawing. I've been able to change the cointainer of the MLeader just choosing a new one from the property grid of the object.

Thank you!

The Type&Block setting is a template setting only.

Onces you created a multileader, this property isn't related to the style anymore.

In other words, once you change the style, you would need to select all instances of the particular style (say by Qselect) and update the "Block Source" property in Properties Palette manually to match the style.

I suspected it.

Thank you for the confirm.
