AutoCAD 2022 - dxf from beamd (atir software)

i use beamd software from atir. a dxf on auticad 2022 works well, but on 2023 it crash. why?

Without your data (dxf file), we have to guess:

The DXF is not written well and acad2022 ignores that issue, acad2023 not.

Share your (original) dxf - not a dxf you opend in saved in acad2022.

Sounds like it's more of an issue with the other software you're using and a file created from a newer version of autocad.

I opened both files with AutoCAD 2023.1.2, both were working well.

Maybe you are missing the latest AutoCAD 2023 updates.

1. As I thought, this is not a proper DXF (does not conform to specifications),

also not in 2000-2022.

2. I can open both files in both version (2022 and 2023)

    Start command ABOUT <Screenshot>

    Open your Textscreen [F2] and try to open the DXF file

    What happen, what do you mean with crash?

   Can you Screenshot any message in a dialog/popup or the Textscreen?

one question more: After opening the dxf (in 2022), open the Textscreen[F2]:

Is there a message like that: Substituting [simplex.shx] for [Atirdos.shx].

No issues opening and editing inside both of your DXF files in AutoCAD2023.1.2 here either.

How does it crash for you exactly? What steps? Do you have other problems with 2023 by chance?

Hi,

we don't have problems with your file, you have to try to fix your software.

Windows, Graphiccard/driver or Acad.

Open your windows search, search for DEFAULT and use the the option Reset to default your ACAD.

(Abswer the question about save settings with yes).

Use the windows Option for REPAIR Install (repair Acad installation)

And start Acad with parameter /nohardware AND /safemode

please install updates! Your AutoCAD is not updated, it shows 2023, whereas it should show "2023.1.2":
