AUTOCAD 2021 keeps crashing when projecting views in paper layout

Hi,

Anyone know of a solution to the above problem.

I have created a quick 3d model and now want to create the shop drawings. When I want to create the general layout by selecting the model space I can create the top view, side view and the front view however when I want the diagonal view it creates it then disappears. I redo the projection then Autocad does circles so I have to reboot. I have created a new drawing file then copied the model into it and it does the same thing. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Can you show us a video (e.g. using >>screencast<< or any other video recorder) so we can see, what exactly you're doing?

Hi Daniel,

That's not a "crash". Your drawing is probably just looking for something, an Xref, a Customization, a Font, a bad path, etc.
How long are you waiting?

Absolutely right thank you.

When I initially did the drawing I used an existing set of shop drawings I had done. I deleted the existing drawing, drew the new drawing but still had the 15 paper layouts from the old drawings. So these were stopping me from completing the projection on the general layout. I've been on site for the last 4 days and haven't checked the forum until now. So this morning I simply got rid of all the paper layouts and kept the 1 page for the general layout. Problem solved. I generally do this so I have my template already setup. Your answer triggered this solution. Thank you.
