We have converted stp/jt parts to ipt and attached them to assembly in Inventor 2020, then saved copy as dwg.

When opening assembly dwg in Autocad, preview shows assembly with those parts but when we open, stp/jt parts are missing.

Earlier the parts were also missing in Inventor drawing but they did show up when importing assembly and check Drawing View / Recovery Options / Include Mesh Bodies.

In Inventor Assembly those parts shows normally.

In Inventor instead of saving as DWG go to file, export to DWG and choose AutoCAD DWG objects. This will give you the best chance of getting everything in AutoCAD.
